Stamp-a-Stack Deets

Happy Monday!

MAN are the days ever speeding up this month!  As "back to school" is only 2 weeks away there seems to be some sort of panic in the children to actually DO something with their friends before the summer is over!  My calendar is now FULL with scheduled get-togethers to go shopping, swimming, bowling, climbing, sleep overs and who knows WHAT else!  I guess MY plans for deep relaxation ad lots of crafting are out the window!  Bring on September, I say!

Right.  I may not get EVERYTHING on my list done this week but I'm determined to post my projects from last week (and last month!)

First up ... the projects I promised you over a month ago, that came from my summer Stamp-a-Stack!

So sorry it's taken so long!

The first card was a CASE from my friend and downline Claudine Dulaba.  She had shared this card on our team Facebook page ...
SOOOO pretty ... and perfect for so many occasions!  I changed the colors and came up with this version ...
Now I'm not gunna lie.  This card is GREAT to make one or two ... but do NOT use it for a Stamp-a-Stack!  LOTS of passes through the Big Shot are needed!

I used Whisper White and Pool Party cards stock.  I used the Detailed Floral Thinlits and the Botanical Builder Framelits (for the flower).  The ribbon is (retired) white seam biding and the sentiment is from a retired set.  The beauty of this card is that any sentiment you have on hand works well with it!

The card is a bit of an illusion - the top part, which is stamped with the "Thank You" is actually one long piece of 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" whisper white card stock that was run through the Big Shot with the thinlit just along the bottom.  The Pool Party piece started off as 5 1/2" x 4 1/2" as well.  This makes for easy adhering.  I just taped the whisper white top piece to the pool party behind" piece along the top ... no need for fussy gluing of the flowery part.  Make sense?  Hope so!

Next up is my SUPER quick and easy "Celebrate" card.
I made a quick video of it over on my business Facebook page "go to Facebook and search for Tamara's Paper Trail).

It uses a Whisper White base, a strip of 41/2" x 3" Glossy White card stock that I debossed with my Celebration Duo embossing folder and then swiped with various inks, using a finger dauber.  I used Flirty Flamingo. Peekaboo Peach, Daffodil Delight, Emerald Envy and Island Indigo.  I mounted it on a piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock measuring 4 1/4" x 2".  The 6" strip rushed ribbon is attached using a piece of Tear and Tape - just lay down the tape and squiggle the tape onto it in any manner you choose - just fold and stick as you go!

Last up is this little cutie that uses the stamp set Happiest of Days ...
I love this card!  I was determined to USE it as loved it in the catalogue .. and bought it ... and then struggled to make a card with it!  Yes it happens a lot.  Smaller images like these presents often get me "stuck".  I try a few things, they don't work out and then the set just sits on the shelf for the next 2 years collecting dust.  This time I just kept on trying until I got there".  My top tip for using small images is to find a layout you love that used designer papers and/or banners ... like I did.  I used the "Pick a Pattern" designer paper (the Crushed Curry stripes) and was thrilled how it matched the "organic" stripes on the present images.  So!  I used a 4" x 1" strip of the designer paper, a 4 1/2" x 1 1/2" strip of the Indigo card stock and a 1/2" strip of basic black.  The first two I punched with the Triple Banner punch to get the banner end. The black strip I jut cut with my paper snips.   I punched the presents out with my ... 2 1/2" (I think) circle punch and used my finger dauber and black ink to hilight the circle edge.  Indigo and Curry markers were used to color the presents and wee rhinestone are on top of each present.  The sentiment is stamped in Basic Black Archival ink.  The image i popped up n dimensionals.

The other two cards I used for my Stamp-a-Stack have been featured in previous posts (July 2 and July 15th) ... but I don't believe I shared any dimensions ...
For the butterfly card the Whisper White sentiment piece measures 1 1/2" x 3 1/2", the Basic Black strip is 1" x 5 1/2" and the Berry Burst is 1" x 5".  The strips are punched with the triple banner punch.
For this card the Lemon Lime Twist Whisper White piece measure 1 1/2" x 5".

So there you have it!  It took me over a month but it HAS been on my radar!  Thanks for popping in!  Come back tomorrow when I will (hopefully) have another project to share.

I'm off for my morning stroll with my favorite Doodle Dog.  Have a stampy day!

    1. Hi Marie! SO sorry for the delay in replying! Blogger stopped sending me notification when people commented on a post!
No, the detailed thinlit piece is one long sheet, not separate. I cut the coloured piece and then the long white piece to put on top of it. Where the sentiment is stamped is where I added the tape. I hope that helps!
