Let Me Show You How - Homemade Treats Bundle - MCM Dec 15, 2025

Happy Tuesday! It's a hive of activity around here today ... and I hate it! Craig is underfoot (newly retired), Rebecca is underfoot (just handed in her last assignment of her Interior Design Diploma so is now finished her education and unemployed) ... and I'm grumpy about the disruption in my usually tranquil Tuesday morning of quiet work! I know we'll find a new rhythm in time (AFTER the holiday chaos) but today I need to get things done so I suspect I'll be holed up in my cave, nose to the grindstone.

Last night was fun, as I played (for the first time) with the Homemade Treats Bundle. I'm happy it is sticking around for a few more months (ie it's not on the Last Chance List yet!), as it can absolutely be used for more than just Christmas. I started out CASEing the card that I found on the Stampin' Up! store but I (honestly) couldn't stand the colour palette so I switched it to neutrals. This is what I came up with ...

Fun! I'd like to play with it a bit more today ... alas, I have 180 Christmas cards to write so it will have to wait.

Let Me Show You How ... Swirled Designs - MCM Layout Dec 8, 2025

Happy Tuesday! Thanks for popping in! Last night on my Facebook Live I played with the Swirled Designs Bundle, from the November 2025 Online Exclusive product offering. I was on the fence ordering this one. Would I use it? I thought I'd take a gamble and yes, I'm glad I did. I love the background stamps - they will be quite versatile for backgrounds but also for insides of the cards and envelopes. The shapes are fun and I can see me using them for all KINDS of things. I'm excited to play more with it (time permitting!). This card is one I found right on the Stampin' Up! store. I CASEd (copied) it almost exactly. I love how it turned out!

Eat Cake Bundle - Let Me Show You How it works - Dec 1, 2025

Happy Tuesday! It's "all systems GO!" around here today. It's December ... and the "yay-list" is looooooong! I THOUGHT I was sliding into December fairly calmly but I find I'm a wee bit stressed today when I see the mountain of things to be done! So, one-thing-at-a-time, as I start chipping away at things. Only 21 days until my brother shows up and the REAL holidays begin :)

I've mentioned a few times, over the last few weeks, that I wanted to switch my MCM (Mystery Card Monday) up for a while and provide more "Let Me Show You How"s. I haven't had time to STAMP over the last few months and I miss it! Traditionally, MCM are more "add designer paper and a sentiment" layout for quick and easy. I needed to ink up some of the MANY stamp sets I have bought but not yet opened! Last night I was THRILLED to play with a set I bought months ago - Cake Day. I CASE'd (copied) a card right of the Stampin' Up! online store. Here is the card I made ...

It took me about 15 minutes to figure out what all the dies did ... and even what some of the stamps were! ... but I got there in the end. Aside from the splotch boo boo bottom left (that I tried to cover up with a faceted star), I really like how it turned out! Yes, I will absolutely play more with this set this week!

Several viewers commented that "it's not for me" (about this bundle) ... and that's TOTALLY fine! The goal of my show isn't to convince anyone of anything. It's just about me adding ink to some stamps and teaching you how to make a particular card. Some bundles may be great - others may not be. We'll find out together! This one is a thumbs up from me .. now that I know how to use it! lol.
