Happy Tuesday! Welcome to another MCM Blog Post! If you need a quick, cute card layout this is it!
Last night I shared with you a VERY simple layout. This is a GREAT one to use if you are a beginner card maker, perhaps with limited supplies, or if you are a "seasoned" card makers with ALLLLL the supplies. The choice is yours - keep it clean and simple, or add layers, texture and more dies cuts/embellishments to "step it up".
Here are the 4 cards I shared with you ...
The first one has a "simple" and a "stepped up" version of the same card. The one on the left isn't quite finished - I just started the colouring in the video - I will finish it later today. (I didn't think you needed to watch me colour flowers lol). The second one simply ahas an extra, embossed, layer behind the focal images. That one little tweak makes the card "fancier".
I ADORE this one! I don't (yet) own the Citrus Blooms Bundle, I just have the beautiful paper. No worries! I used my paper snips to cut the lemons, embossed the back layer and added a sentiment from the Charming Duck Pond set. A few embellishments and DONE! you don't have to own "all the things" to make an awesome card!
This one is another case in point: I cut out images from the Lily Pond Lane Designer Paper and only stamped the sentiment. Quick, easy and CUTE!
This last one is the "fanciest" of the all and more time consuming. I embossed the background and spent more time stamping and colouring the ducks and die cutting the reeds. I LOOOOOOVE the end result! (The embossing folder I used on this one has not yet been released - it is a Birch Embossing Folder - due out in the September 2024 Mini Catalogue)
