Yes, I'm back in the post-holiday world again and recovering nicely, thank very much *lol*! The kids had a GREAT time in Disney World. Notice I said the KIDS? Oh sure - Craig and I enjoyed many "Hallmark moments" - and as usual I got choked up 3 or 4 times watching the smiles on the girls' faces - but we also had our fair share of exhaustion and stress … as parents do on most holidays …. and CERTAINLY on Disney holidays! There were a few life lessons I learned along the way - the main one was to relax and enjoy the moment, even if it wasn't the moment you expected or hoped for. Another one was to cherish those moments as we are so very blessed in this life to have our health, the love of family and luxury to take a holiday such as this one. No, it was a not the vacation I expected but yes, it WAS amazing!
Oh! … and guess who showed up??? Yes, none other than Trixie, our beloved Elf on the Shelf. She was only spotted by the girls TWICE … but review of our pictures revealed that she was EVERYwhere we were … and generally photobombing us! That explains all the giggles and snickers from strangers whenever we had our picture taken! Here are a few choice pics we found:
Out front o the hotel sign ...
Photobombing us in front of "Mount Everest" … little minx!
