Simple Stamping - Stampin' Creative Global Blog Hop

Happy Blog Hop Day!

I LOVE Blog Hop Day!  Every month my friends from around the globe bring you projects using only current Stampin' Up! products surrounds a common theme.  This month the theme is "simple stamping".  Oh My!  Don't we ALL want/need quick, cute projects at our fingertips for those moments when we need something FAST???  I ADORE quick and easy.  So here is MY project for this month.  It is one of the very first layouts I ever learned when I first started stamping, over 16 years ago.  Check it out ...

SO simple, SO quick yet SO lovely!  It DOES physically pain me NOT to emboss the layer but the idea of #simplestamping is that it's easy enough for a beginner to be able to recreate.  You don't need anything more than stamps, ink and paper .. and a few embellishments.  Check, check, check and check!

I used the GORGEOUS new Hues of Happiness Designer Paper, with a layer of Granny Apple Green (I found the new Parakeet Party just a bit too bright).  I stamped the sentiment (from Happiness Abounds) in (my new favourite colour) Starry Sky.  I used three different ribbons to tie around the layers; White Crinkled Seam Binding, Parakeet Party Metallic and Starry Sky Metallic ribbons (14" of each).  I then popped the layers up on dimensionals.  I added three Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels to finish it off.  Literally a 3 minute card.  Simple Stamping Indeed!

Measurements:

Basic White Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", folded in half and scored

Basic White Layer (NOT embossed - gulp!) - 5 1/4" x 4"

Granny Apple Green Layer - 2 1/4" x 5 1/4"

Hues of Happiness DSP Layer - 2" x 5 1/4"

Thats it!  Quick and Easy Simple Stamping project = Quick and Easy Simple Stamping Blog Post!

I hope you like it!

Now hop along to see what my friends have made for you ... and have a stampy day!

Fancy Frames Quick & Easy All Occasions Card - Kylie's Trip Achievers Blog Hop

Happy Victoria Day long weekend ... and Happy Blog Hop Day!

Every month my friends and I from around the globe bring you projects made with current Stampin' Up! products to delight and inspire you.  We hope you like them!

This month I played with soooo many of the ALL NEW products in the 2022 Annual Catalogue.  I couldn't craft fast enough!  I made several cards but thought I'd share this one, as it is just so darned pretty ... and versatile!  Just change the sentiment and you can hit most occasions.  Check it out:

I just love it!

It LOOKS like I used Very Vanilla but that's just my lighting trying to adjust to the darker background.  It's actually made on Basic White and really POPS with the gold frame, which I made using the AWESOME new Fancy Frames die and Distressed Gold paper.  I used our Timeworn Type 3-D embossing folder, our Brushed Metallic dots, White Crinkled Seam Binding and Simply Elegant Trim (gold) to add interest and texture.   Here are my measurements:

Basic White Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" and folded
Basic White layer 0 5 1/4" x 4" - run through the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder and attached to the base with dimentionals
3 1/4" x 4 3/4" of Distressed Gold.  Attach Adhesive Sheets to the back of the paper and run it through the Cut & Emboss Machine with the Fancy Frames die.  This makes for mess-free attachment to the card!
2 1/4" x 2 3/4" piece of Basic White run through the Cut & Emboss Machine with the Fancy Frames die to cut out the centre shape (so you can stamp on it!

The sentiment is from Go To Greetings, stamped in Soft Sued ink.

I used a piece of 14" long Crinkled Seam Binding, folded in half ... and a piece 7" piece of Gold Trim to make a triple bow.  The little pop of gold trim adds just a touch of gold to pull the whole look together.  Three Metallic dots finish it off.

This is actually one of the cards we are making in my upcoming Go To Greetings Virtual Class on Friday, June 3rd.  If you're in Canada you can take the class.  It's $45 for local pickup (Edmonton, AB) or $55 long distance ... but RSVP right away, as it takes up to 2 weeks for mail to get out East!  This class includes the stamp set.  If you already have it you can switch the set for any other $32 or $33 set in either catalogue.  Message me if you're interested - the more the merrier! (and this is a *must have* set!)

So that's it for today.  I'm off to dust off my bike and do a few laps of the neighbourhood.  First ride of the year - don't wanna overdo it or I won't be able to sit down tomorrow! lol.

Whatever YOU are up to today I hope your day is filled with smiles.  Thanks for popping in and don't forget to hop along to see what my friends have designed for you!
