Happy Wednesday! Welcome to another MCM Blog Post! If you need a quick, cute card layout this is it!
This week I CASED a card swap card from the Mexico Incentive Trip (*disclaimer - fewer than 1% of demonstrators world wide earn the Incentive Trip). It isn't a physical swap I received, it was one posted on a display board and I neglected to take a picture of the info/creator on the back so I can't give proper credit. Please know the layout was not my original design, It's SUCH an easy layout, and so many people commented when I posted it, that I just had to make, and share, it with you!
This was the card that inspired mine:
So bright and cheery, and using all the new 2024-2026 In Colors. The flourish is from a bundle that I don't own (yet!). It's from the Thoughtful Journey Bundle / Thoughtful Wishes dies. I was sad I couldn't recreate the card completely ... but there's always more than one way to pluck a chicken, right? ... so I just used what I had! These are the cards I came up with ...
For this one I switch out the coloured layer from Petunia Pop to Summer Splash. Not having the flourish, I found something similar in the Queen Bee Bundle .. and I used the wee bird from the Country Birdhouse Bundle. The sentiments is from Poised Peony, stamped on one of the circles from the Unbounded Love dies. I love how it turned out!
This one uses the new Swirl Embossing Folder (PERFECT for coffee cards, as it mimics steam to me!). The sentiment on this one is from Coffee with Friends, in Pecan Pie ink.
I missed that the Rock & Roll Bundle retired - oops! Retired or not, still makes a great card!
This is a VERY versatile layout. You can use Designer Papers for the 3/4" strips or you can used embossed card stock. The options are endless!
