Quick & Cute Card Layout - MCM June 23, 2025

Happy Thursday!  ... at least it is for me! Our renovations should be 95% complete by the end of today.  Final "punch list" items should be completed Monday then we're DONE!  LORD, will I celebrate having my own bathroom and shower again!!!  Sure makes you appreciate the small blessing in your life, I tell ya!!  The house is Grand Central Station today so I'm bugging out and hitting the movies (Mission Impossible - gotta see it on the big screen while I can!).  Before I go, though, I wanted to get my post done for the MCM Layout we did this week on my FB Live.  I CASEd the layout from Stampin' Up!  It was used in their "Creativity Now" event last weekend, which is a demo-only 4 hour event.  I instantly fell in love with the versatility of it!  It works with ANY paper scraps you have on hand (don't we all have BOXES of those??).  Just add a sentiment and IF you want to "step it up" you add layers, textures and/or embellishments.  Easy as 1, 2, 3 ... as shown in my three cards below.

Step 1 - keep it basic and simple - just attach your paper directly to you card base, stamp your sentiment and add a few embellishments.  I used paper from the Kintsugi Inspirations DSP.  The sentiment is from a not-yet-released set "Peace on Earth".  The gems are also not out yet ...Charming Shimmer Faceted Dots.

Step 2 - add a layer of card stock and some more embellishments.  The sentiment is from (not-yet-released) Label Me Grateful and the foliage dies are from the (not-yet-released) Charming Day dies.  The ribbon is from the Misty Moonlight & White 1/4" Starter Ribbon.  I cut the side off the ribbon and pulled off a few strands to make a more delicate ribbon bow.

Step 3:  Take it up one more notch by using a coloured base.  You then stamp your sentiment before running your layer through the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder.  Texture = Fancy lol.

Here is a very simple one using the Woven Textures paper, Pattern of Friendship stamp set and Embossed Brick 3D Embossing Folder, all on Basic Beige card stock.

Sooooo simple .. or not!  Snazz it up or keep it simple.  I LOVE layouts like that!  Want to make your own? Here is the "recipe" of the pieces you need to prep ...

Learn a Fun Fold Card Layout! MCM June 16, 2025.

Heidi Ho!  Welcome to another MCM post!  Have you tried this fold yet?  It's a "Diagonal Fold" but with a twist.  I CASEd the layout from a Swap I got from Michelle Suit.  It inspired me! The front panel of the card isn't diagonal - it's rectangular.  I hadn't seen that before.  It's fun to play with!  The key to a successful card is using a "busy" pattern on the back panel and a "subtle" pattern on the front.  That really makes the whole thing pop.  In our time together I completed the Mediterranean Blooms card and then finished the Kintsugi card afterwards.  Check them out ...

I had done the basic card layout for these next two - I just haven't finished them yet. I used the Celebratory Sips papers for these ...

Here are the panels when the cards are open ...

I really like this Fun Fold.  SO many options - and our patterned paper makes coordination so easy.  I LOVE when there are papers with images I can cut out.  Stamping is optional!  I hope you give this one a try.
