Make 3 Cards in Half an Hour - MCM Layout Nov 17, 2025

*** Edited - nope - didn't get this done Thursday - it's now Sunday! lol

Happy Thursday! (... assuming I FINISH this post before the end of the day! lol). It's been a crazy week with Alicia out of town, Becca out every night and Craig doing a 2 days prep and "sit around and wait" for some medical tests.  Today is another busy one with doctor appointment for me (gotta get that blood pressure down!), visiting Dad and a *little* Black Friday shopping!  So let's get to it ...

This weeks MCM is a fun one.  You can make just ONE card ... or ... by chopping THREE pieces of DSP at the same time, you can make three cards with the Cut, Stack, Shuffle idea.  Here are the cards we made .

This batch was made with the Kintsugi Inspirations paper and sentiment from Pattern of Friendship (which apparently is now retired!).

With Pastels not being my "go to" colour family I really had to stretch myself on this one, but the die cuts from the Wildflower Birthday DSP helped immensely!  The Pattern of Friendship sentiment was used again.

These two are the "basic" layout, using just one piece of DSP and maintaining the pattern.  Make sure you watch the video replay below to get the cuts right!  The one on the right uses Beautiful Gallery DSP and the sentiment is from the NEW bundle Friendly Foliage ...

At the end of the "show" I showed you these two cards, using the Jolly Holly Hybrid Embossing Folder.  The one on the left uses the All Season Velvet paper that I have finally started playing with.  It adds some GREAT texture and interest to your projects!

If you want to make some cards using this layout,  use this "recipe" for the pieces you need to prep ...

Here is the Mystery Card Monday (MCM) Facebook Live replay, showing you how to cut the papers and put all the pieces together ...

That's it for this week.  If you would like to join me LIVE for my MCM (Mystery Card Monday) sessions, you can catch me on my FaceBook Page here at 7:00 pm Mountain Time every Monday ... or on my YouTube Channel here at the same time (I stream live to both).  Like and Follow my FB Page and/or Subscribe to my YouTube Channel.  I'd love to have you - the live community is AMAZING and so much fun!

One Sheet Wonder (OSW) - from "basic" to "fancy" - MCM Layout Nov 10, 2025

Happy Tuesday!  It's Nov 11 - Remembrance Day here in Canada so Craig and Rebecca had the day off.  Alicia had to work ... and I "sort-of" worked.  Nothing too crazy - mailed a few things, payed some bills, tidied my desk a bit ... and my blog post (which I started at 7:00 am ... it's now 7:00 pm lol).

Did you catch MCM Live last night?  I thought it was a really good one - not just for the easy OSW (One Sheet Wonder) layout but also for the many Tips & Tricks I shared throughout the hour.  The video replay is below - it's worth a watch!

These are the cards we made.  In usual MCM fashion, the first one is geared towards "beginner" card makers (those with just a few supplies or who aren't quite ready to "add all the things").  I then added textures and die cuts to "step it up".  Here they are ...

"Basic" card layout using Beautiful Gallery paper and sentiment from Bright Borders (which I now see is retired.  Who knew!). The card stock is Basic Beige with Mossy Meadow mats.  The embellishments are also now retired - Low Profile Dots.

This one just adds embossing to the top layer and a die cut sentiment - I used the Damask Design Embossing Folder and Spotlight on Nature Dies ...

The final "step up" added a "fussier" die cut sentiment.  I used the Thoughtful Moments Hybrid Embossing Folder.  In the video I show you how to USE that product!

This was the card that inspired me - I made it a few years back, using the (now retired) Leaf Fall Embossing Folder and (I think) Forrest Friends Designer Paper.  The sentiment is from Soft Seedlings (go me for finding THAT little nugget!).  The embellishments are Solid Faceted Gems.  These are all retired products - back from 2022!

This one is a "fancy" one.  Elegant Pine Snowflakes paper with the Jolly Holly Hybrid Embossing Folder.  The sentiment was made using the Christmas Words Collage Hybrid Embossing Folder.  Again - check out the video replay to learn how to use it!

This one is FUN to make!  It uses Very Vanilla and Mossy Meadow ... and the new GORGEOUS paper, Brushed with Beauty.  The embossing folder is the new Beautiful Pattern folder, the sentiment and dies are from Words of Beauty Bundle - a MUST have, in my opinion!  Muted Palette Dots and Baker's Twine finish it off.

I may just LOVE this layout ... and paper ...

So there you have it!  Another easy layout that is a OSW (One Sheet Wonder).  Four pretty cards in no time!  Want to make some?  Here is the "recipe" of the pieces you need to prep ...
