Beautiful Thistle - Kylie's Trip Achievers Blog Hop

Happy Blog Hop Day!

Every month Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the globe who earned the Incentive Trip to Norway come together to do a "blog hop".  We share projects made with current Stampin' Up! products, in the hopes of exciting and inspiring you.  Dig out those beautiful stamp sets and dies and get 'em inky!

Today I'm sharing two cards I made with the GORGEOUS "Beautiful Thistle" bundle.  I dug it out to feature in my Thursday Facebook Live, whereby I try "SIHUB" - Something I Haven't Used Before lol.  Here they are:

I LOVE this bundle!  It's SO easy to use ... with the end result being a gorgeous card.

The top one uses Mint Macaron as the primary colour.  A happy accident, as my lighting has been acting up and I THOUGHT I was using Soft Succulent lol.  What LOOKS to be a yellow layer is, in fact, Basic White 5" x 3 3/4")... with another Mint Macaron layer on top ( 4 7/8" x 3 5/8").  I ran that layer through the AMAZING Crosshatch 3-D Embossing Folder.  I used one of the scalloped rectangle dies (second smallest) from the Color and Contour Bundle for the top, Basic White layer.  This layout was one inspired by a card made by Maheswari Rajaguru over at mystampgarden.com.  You should check her out - her work is amazing!

The Thistle images were stamped on Mint Macaron card stock in Versamark, covered in White Embossing Powder and then heat set with our Heat Tool.  I coloured them with my Soft Succulent Light and Dark blends, along with my Fresh Freesia Light and Dark Blends.  Our 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds.  The sentiment is stamped in Fresh Freesia and popped up on dimensionals.

The second card DOES uses Soft Succulent (5 1/4" x 4"), also embossed with the Crosshatch 3D Embossing Folder.  I added a layer of our Vellum 12" x 12" Layer Designs (yay for USING it before it retires! lol ... 5" x 3 3/4").
I stamped the image on Basic White card stock using Basic Gray ink and die cut them.  Again, I coloured them with Soft Succulent light and dark, and Fresh Freesia light and dark.  They're popped up on dimensionals.  I added some silver Elegant Trip and some silver pearl, as well as some clear gems from the Elegant Faceted Gems.  I love them both and they were honestly SO easy to make!

If you are more of a visual learner, you can check out my YouTube link at the end of this post.  Before that, though, pop on over to my friends' blogs and see what THEY have to share with you!

Thanks for popping in!

Tamara
