Beginner Card Maker Template - MCM Layout Jan 21, 2025
Happy Tuesday! A beautiful winter day here in Edmonton - only minus 2 degrees! MUCH better than the -26 we had mere days ago. I tell ya, these temperature swings sure mess with your system ... and arthritis! lol. Cold or hot, I'm happy with ANY reason to stay indoors and stamp. Last night we did just that. I showed you how too take some simple, basic supplies that we ALL have on hand and turned into a quick, cute card. Then we "stepped it up" by adding a layer and some texture. We "stepped it up" again by adding several die cuts. Check them out.
This first batch was made using the Ocean Friends Suite of products ...
LOVE me some black and white cards. Ironically, the other side of this Mixed Media Floral paper is very bright and bold. Love that we have options!
Step one - just a layer with strips of various scrap widths glued down. Add a sentiment, a bow and some embellishments and BOOM! Done!
Step it up by adding a card stock layer and embossing the top layer, after you have glued down the strips ...
Step it up one more time by addind stamped images, die cuts and alllll the things ...
Same process, different products. I used the Mixed Media Flowers and the sentiment is from My Small Business ...
The embossing folder is our Eyelet 3D ...
Our "fanciest" card adds die cuts from Memorable Blooms and the sentiment is from Simply Said ...
Want to make your own version(s) of this layout? Here is the "recipe" of the pieces you need to prep ...
