Spider Web Doilies: Alternate Uses

Today I'm sharing another Stampin' Up! video.  I almost deleted this one before watching it. Gotta say I'm not a fan of the card in the middle.  Just looks like a white spider web to be, not a white snowflake. But I watched it anyway (likely avoiding doing something I should have been doing *lol) and I'm glad I did.

Sheltering Tree - Winter

Happy Sunday!

Ahhhh Sunday … and nothing on the calendar (as it should be!).  I'm looking forward to a whole lot o' nuthin' today just relaxing with my peeps!

Today's share uses a set I haven't inked up in quite a while.  Had to rectify THAT situation!  I can't take credit for this one - I CASEd it from fellow AUSTRALIAN demonstrator, Rachael Lewsley over at www.mystampinhaven.com.au .  Here is her card …

SUCH a great set with awesome possibilities for all season.  I simply never have enough winter BIRTHDAY cards … until now, that is.  Gunna crack off a bunch next week to have on hand.

Sleigh Ride *Meh*

Happy Saturday!

Right!  Today is the last project from my "old" projects.  I almost didn't post this one as I find it very *meh*.  None-the-less …. here it is ...

*Meh.  It's ok.  I was playing around with my Sleigh Ride Edgelits last month and this was one of my first attempts.  I used Blackberyy Bliss as the colour.  I used the thinlits for the trees and horse/sleigh.  I added some snow with White Craft Ink.  The process was fun - the final result … *meh*

See?  I don't *love* ALL of them!  lol.

Embellished Ornament

Happy Friday!

I'm happy to report I'm almost done with my "catch-up" posts!  Here is another one I created last month but it didn't make the cut for the Stamp-a-Stack ...

Love it?  I do!  … but it certainly isn't one for a Stamp-a-Stack!!

I used the Embellished Ornaments / Delicate Ornaments set/framelits for this one - using Cucumber Crush and Black.  I do love it but simply too labour intensive for more than a few!  I first used the thinlit to punch out the ornament from the middle of the whisper white top layer,  I stamped the sentiment (from the hostess-only set "Six Sayings") in Archival Black (of course!) then popped the top layer up on a mat of Cucumber crush using dimensionals.  I then used my Fine Tip Glue pen (on back order until November 23rd!  Ack!) to glue the ornament inside the cut out.  I punched out the poinsettia and ornament cap with the Thinlit dies in Basic Black and glued them on as well.  A rhinestone in the middle finishes it off.  Lots of work but a beautiful card all the same!

Casino Fun and LOTS of Kits!

Happy Wednesday!

Just a quick share today to show you what can be accomplished when you have 14 hours with nothing to do.  *lol*  think that never happens?  Well, have kids and volunteer to work a Casino or two and you'll soon find out it DOES happen!  Last month I DID work two Casino nights for the girls' school fundraisers (essentially parents volunteer to work a shift at the Yellowhead Casino and the school receives a portion of the winnings from the night they work).  It's a great opportunity for the schools.  I did this 4 years ago and quickly realized that (as the "chip runner") you pretty much sit and do nothing for 8 hours … so this year I planned ahead and took LOTS of stamping kits with me to work on.  Check out what I accomplished ...

Crazy, right?!  The first picture was one night of stamping, the second was the second night of stamping.  7 hours never went by so quickly!  One of my friends was "working" with me the first night.  Both of us had about 5 Paper Pumpkin kits we hadn't gotten around to making yet so we brought our stash and stamped together.  The BEST way to stamp!  The second night I stamped alone - not as much fun but I got a lot done.  I put together the Cottage Garden Kit, a paper pumpkin kit and the Watercolor kit.  I HIGHY recommend these kits - SO quick and easy to make 18-20 cards.  The Watercolor kit even includes the inks and stamp set to complete the 20 DIFFERENT cards.  A GREAT Christmas gift idea - especially for the hard-to-buy-for tweens/teens in your life!

It felt good to get some relaxing crafting time in … AND free up some space in my Craft Cave!

Double Digits

Happy Monday!

Slowly catching up on some projects I made a while ago.  Today I'm sharing the card I made Oct 4th for Alicia's 10th birthday ...

She loved it!  Of course when you're 9 it's all about being "double digits" so this card kinda made itself!  I used my thinlits for the "happy"in real red and my "double digits" in glitter paper which I then coloured with my Bermuda Bay marker.  Hard to see but there is a mat of glitter paper too 'cause Alicia LOOOOOVES bling!  I used various sets for all the sentiments on the inside, stamped in Bermuda Bay ink.

Double Digits.  Wow.  When did THAT happen??
