This month, demonstrators from around the globe are bringing you their projects based around the theme "Remember". That one was a little tricky for me! I was thinking about things like "Remember Your Moments" ... and then, of course, Rememberance Day and the poppies set Painted Poppies jumped out at me. I was GOING to do a card to send to a few of my friends who are in the military but that just didn't go as planned. As I was creating I fell upon "remember what you are grateful for". During this stressful time we ALL need to step away from the chaos and the news and reflect on what we DO HAVE and what we are grateful for ... and that led me to this project ... a Gratitude Journal.
I think this fits the theme PERFECTLY! It has the Remembrance Day Poppies (I believe they are mostly a Canadian and UK symbol for Remembrance Day), it reminds me to "Always Remember" which can have the double reminder of remembering all that has been sacrificed for us AND to remember to be grateful for all that I have.
This project is actually a CASE from our catalogue last year! The journals are now retired but I *may* have stocked up on a few before they did! Any notebook would work for this project. I simply used the Peaceful Moments dies that accompany the stamp set. I used Mossy Meadow and Granny Apple Green card stock for the leaves, Poppy Parade, Calypso Coral and Black for the Poppies. I added a few of our Wonderful Gems for accents. The rest is just assembly. It's a little fiddlier than I usually like but well worth the time, I feel. Such a fun, beautiful keepsake journal.
The links to the items are found at the bottom of my post, right under the links to my friends' blogs. Click on each one and hop along to see what THEY have created with the theme of "Remember".
Thanks for popping in - have a stampy day!
