Cute as a Bug Simplicity - MCM Layout April 27, 2026

Happy Tuesday! Do you ever see/receive a card that you just HAVE to replicate? I do ALL the time! My MCM layout this week came from a card I received from my Friend Karen Duke. I was struck by how cute, clean and SIMPLE it was! If MY reaction was "WOW" then I knew it would be a layout perfect for Monday night. I was right. The layout is "a keeper"! This was the card Karen sent me. She used the (now retired) Lovely Stripes Embossing Folder and the Sweet Bugs stamp set with coordinating Cute as a Bug designer paper. They are hard to see but she also used clear embellishments from the Ladybug Garden Epoxy Shapes ...

I used the same basic layout to recreate her card, using different products. This one uses our Forever Plaid 3D Embossing folder, sentiment from Filled with Sweetness and images cut from the Homemade Sweetness designer paper. The embellishments are Strawberries and Dots. I used our Stampin' Up! Black 0.4 Journaling Pen to draw around the 1 1/4" squares.

This ones uses the upcoming Lazy Daisy 3D embossing folder and All Aflutter bundle. Strawberry Slush and Bubble Bath inks and Strawberries and Dots embellihsments ...

This one was so fun to play with! The retired Lovely Stripes Embossing Folder (although, as I show you in the video, you CAN just use our Simply Scored tool instead!), the BBQ Master bundle and upcoming Dewdrops Embellishments. FUN!

A great layout for those who may not have "all the toys" and/or lots of designer paper on hand. You can also add texture, layers and/or more die cuts/embellishments to jazz it up. Try it!
