Beginner Card Layout - MCM Layout June 22, 2026

Happy Tuesday! Who KNEW you could get so much work done when your new kitten gets you up at 5:00 am every day??? *in related news, I'm NOT a fan of being up at 5:00 am and wonder how/why people get up at this time by CHOICE to EXERCISE??!!!! ... but I digress lol.

I was excited to get my blog post up today following my MCM Facebook Live last night. I just LOVE how the cards turned out! I can't take credit for the layout. I 100% CASEd (Copy & Share Everything) from fellow demonstrator Holly Sutton Batla, over at Handcrafted Blessings. I had shared her card on my Facebook page a few days ago and had MANY requests for the instruction on how to make it. Boom! Mystery Card Monday layout sorted! Here is the original card I CASEd from Holly ...

So striking ... and EASY! Here are the cards I made on my live in mere MINUTES!!

I started copying Holly exactly, just switching out the colour. I used Coastal Cabana. The paper is from our Brights Painted Patterns DSP. The sentiment is from Scalloped Blooms and the embellishments are the Shimmering Dots. I used the 2" and 1 7/8" circle punches for the sentiment focal point.

This one used Delicate Dreams DSP and Earthy Matte Dots with Mossy Meadow paper and ink ...

Delicate Designs and Adhesive Backed Metallic Gems with Basic Beige card stock and Pecan Pie ink ...

Misty Moonlight cardstock and ink with Homemade Sweetness and Strawberries & Dots embellishments ...

... Fresh Freesia with Lovely & Beautiful DSP and Moody Palette Dots ...

... and a close up of our Coastal Cabana card with the Brights Painted Patterns DSP and Shimmering Dots ...

Here is the "recipe" of the pieces you need to prep if you want to try making one ... and you DO want to try making one. I dare you to try to make just one!
