Miura Fold Card - MCM layout July 6, 2026

Happy Tuesday! ... I think ... couldn't sleep last night so I got up at 4:00 am and now functioning is hard!  yes, I took a nap this afternoon.  MAN I miss being a kid when I was FORCED to take a nap everyday.  Those were the days!

Did you pop in to MCM last night to learn how to make a Miura Fold Card?  I'm pretty sure I made it seem harder than it is.  Again, words are hard.  I promise, once you make one you'll see how easy it is.

This is the card that started it all.  It's the Birthday Card I made for Mom, for her 85th.  I love how it turned out ...

I got my love all "all things black & white" from Mom ... and my kids now have that love from me.  It's a classic!  Yes, we all look like we're going to a funeral whenever we leave the house but hey.  We love it lol.

I used a lot of different products on my card.  The paper is from Artisan Sketched Garden, the ovals were made from the Framed Violet Bundle.  The black leaves are from Floral Flight Accents.  The "85th" is from our retired Little Numbers and the sentiment is from A Family Celebration and Words & Wishes.

I found GREAT instructions on how to do this fold from Tami White, over at stampwithtami.com.  She has a video AND a written PDF tutorial so let's save me some time and effort and just click here to head to her blog.  Thanks Tami - great instructions!

These are the cards we made Monday night on my live.  The possibilities are endless!

This one uses the same products as before but the sentiment is from the Greetings for All Mix & Match Ephemera pack. SO easy!

This one used paper from Cute a bug and the Cajun Craze pattern is from a NEW paper that is coming out in the Sept-Dec mini catalogue, called Sunflower Fields Designer Paper.  It's gorgeous.  It will sell out, I'm quite sure!

For this one I used Covered in Flowers Accents, which are white. I coloured it with Fresh Freesia ink and my blending brush. The paper is from the Violet Dreams.  I used Fresh Freesia 2-tone 12x12 card stock to get the slightly lighter Freesia colour.  LOVE that stuff!  The flower embellishment is Adhesive Backed Blooms.

So those are the projects we made.  Here are the "nutshell" measurements needed ...

Card Base - 10 1/2" x 5 1/2"

Same colour as card base layer - 4 1/2" x 5 1/2"

Designer Paper - (3) large panels - each 3 1/4" x 5 1/4"

Designer Paper (- 2) small panels - each 3 1/4" x 1 3/4"

Scraps. die cuts etc to decorate

Usual tools, stamps, ink & embellishments

As I mentioned, Tami has a great tutorial on her blog for full printed instructions.  She also has a video.  If you want to see MY video, teaching you how to make it (and a few "colourful" stories as well lol) you can watch my replay here:

I hope you give this one a try!  I'll be making for for sure!
