Springtime Joy Double Z-Fold Card - Kylie's Maui Achievers Blog Hop

Happy Blog Hop Day!  Each month, Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world bring you projects we've made using only current Stampin' Up! products.  We hope you get some inspiration as you hop from blog to blog.

This month I wanted to share a card that was inspired by a SWAP I received from my friend Jennifer Pike.  She sent me an adorable Double Z Fold card (shown at the end of this post).  Can you believe I've never MADE one before?  True story!  I can now say I'm a veteran ... and I seem to have a new obsession! lol.  Check out the first one I made, which uses the Springtime Joy set, from the January-June 2021 Mini Catalogue:

Isn't it sweet????  This is the top view, showing why it's called a Double Z-Fold Card:
They really are SO easy to make!

Start with a card base measuring 4 1/4" x 11"
Score the long (11") side at 2 3/4" and at 5 1/2"
Fold your base in half (on the 5 1/2" score line) and then fold the top piece back on itself, making the front of the card the Z.  (Check the picture above to get the idea)

Cut a piece of coloured card stock 3 1/4" x 9 3/4" and score it at 3 1/4 and 6 1/2"
Fold it in a Z pattern

Attach the back panel of the coloured cardstock to the inside back of the card base
place adhesive on the left hand side of the front of the coloured card stock and attach that to the FRONT of the card base.  You now have your Double Z "bones".  Hopefully this visual helps explain that a bit better ...
Then you just have to decorate!

Cut two (or three) pieces of white card stock 3" x 3" and decorate as desired!  I used almost ALL the images in the Springtime Joy set for my card, and coloured them with my Blends.  A few Pastel Pearls to the front, some Linen twine on the basket and DONE!  SO quick and SO cute!

I couldn't stop at just one.  I needed a "New Grandbaby" card so I grabbed my Treasures of Life set and my retiring Seaside Spray card stock and DSP and came up with this ...
I added some Elegant Faceted Gems and some Seaside Spray twine (from the Flowers for Every Season Combo Pack) to finish them off.  The punch I used (for the sentiment) is the Label Me Lovely punch.  The three hearts are from the Always In My Heart set and the images are stamped in Night of Navy.

For the colouring I used my Blends:  Dark Grey Granite, Dark Balmy Blue and Ivory.  I love it!
NATURALLY I needed to make a baby girl version, using my retiring Rococo Rose products ...
Blends:  Dark Gray Granite, (retired) Light Petal Pink.   I used the pink twine from the Snail Mail Twine Combo pack for the bow on the inside.
This is Jennifer's card that inspired me.  She used the Baby Pull Toys stamp set.  So cute!

I hope that brought YOU some inspiration!  A complete list of products is at the end of this post.  If you're in Canada you can click on any of the images and you will be taken to my online store. I'd LOVE to be your demonstrator, if you don't already have one.

That's it for me for today.  Hop along to see what my friends have to share with you ... and have a stampy day!
