MCM Layout - Aug 21, 2023

Heidi Ho!  Welcome to another MCM (Mystery Card Monday) card layout!

Tonight's layout is one I stumbled across from another demonstrator, Akiko Sudano.  No shame!  A great layout is a great layout.  We don't always have to reinvent the wheel - if/when you see something you like "CASE" it ... just make sure you give credit where credit is due if you post your creation on social media.

Now ... for my MCM blog posts ... you will recall that these are meant to be bare-bone posts.  The details are in the VIDEO, which is at the bottom of this post.  Yes, my videos are about an hour long.   Yes, only about 10 minutes if it is actually MAKING the card!  The rest is just me being me .. sharing stories and chatting with my viewer friends.  Watch the whole thing or just fast forward to where I start cutting the designer paper and/or assemble the pieces.  While you're over at YouTube, please subscribe to my channel!  Every like, subscription and comment helps!

So having said all that, here is my MCM project from Aug 21, 2023 ... CASEd from Akiko Sudano.

So easy, yet so pretty, right?  As always, the beauty of my MCM projects is you can keep them simple or you can "step them up".  Make it your own, using the basics as your jumping off point!

Here is the "recipe" of the pieces you need to prep ...

... and here is the YouTube video to watch how to bring all the pieces together ...

What products did I use?  The list is below.  If you are in Canada and wish to purchase any of these items just click on the picture and it will take you to my online store.  As always, if you have any questions, just shout!

Thanks for popping in - have a stampy day!

MCM Layout - Aug 14, 2023

Heidi Ho Friends!  No, I didn't forget about my mission to post my Mystery Card Monday details each week ... nor my HUGE goal of going BACK for the last 2+ YEARS and posting my old ones .. but it's. process, as I'm sure you know!  SO many balls in the air over the last four weeks ... but here we are, and trying to keep moving forward.

You will recall, given that I have SOOOOO many posts to do, these are meant to be bare-bones posts.  The details are in the VIDEO, which is at the end of the post.  Yes, I ramble a lot.  I know.  Just fast forward the video to where you see me cutting the designer paper, if the designer paper needs cutting.  Assembly is pretty straight forward, and you can usually figure out to do from the photo(s) of the finished project(s).

So!  Without further adeu, I give you the finished projects from My August 14th Mystery Card Monday.  This is one of the very first layouts I ever used ... and I still love it!

Here is the "recipe" with the pieces to prep ...

... and here is the YouTube Replay, showing you how to cut and assemble the cards.  While you're over on YouTube, make sure you subscribe to my YouTube Channel!

Thanks for popping in!  Have yourself a stampy day xo

Hey Chuck - Kylie's Trip Achievers Blog Hop

Happy Blog Hop Day!

Every month my friends from around the globe and I bring you projects made with current Stampin' Up! products.  We hope they excite and inspire you!

This month I'm sharing a card made with the "Hey Chuck" bundle.  I wasn't "sure" about this bundle and waited a few months to order it.  I'm glad I did.  I kinda love it.  Check this out!

*hee hee - this rooster makes me giggle.  I'm pretty sure that's what I look like when anyone DARES speak to me before my first cup of coffee! lol

I love to colour so this set is right up my alley.  Yes there is a lot of die cutting but I just pop on a podcast and cut out a bunch of pieces - done in no time!

Basic White base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"

Basic White layer - 5" x 3 3/4"

Coastal Cabana Banner - 2 1/4" x 3 1/4" (cut using the Nested Essentials Die.  They ARE ESSENTIAL to your stash!!!  BUY THEM!)

Daffodil Delight Sun - 2 1/2" x 1 1/2" - cut with the Hey Chuck dies

Early Espresso Weather thingy - 2 1/2" x 2"

Basic White for Rooster - 2 1/2" x 2 1/2"

Basic White for fence - 2" x 1 1/2"

To colour the fence, I used Crumb Cake Blends - light and dark

To colour the rooster, I used Blends - Light Berry Burst, Light Pumpkin pie and Dark Pool Party

The sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso Classic Ink.

The banner, Rooster and fence are all popped up on dimensionals.

Boom!  Done!

I hope you like it ... and that you ink up this set.  It's so fun!

Thanks for popping in.  Now off you go to check out what my friends made for you!
