MCM Layout - July 8, 2024

Happy Thursday!  ... and welcome to another Mystery Card Monday Blog Post.  I STARTED this Tuesday ... alas ... life took over and here were are 2 days later.  Yes, I *may* be procrastinating on sorting out stuff to sell at my In Person Retired Product Sale that tis in two days ... but, in my defence, I'm getting a LOT done in said procrastination lol ...

I wanted to share what we made this week during my FaceBook LIVE MCM.  I CASEd the layout from my friend Barb Stewart, over at Barb Ink.  I had posted a card she sent me and SO many people commented on it that I knew I had to use it for my layout this week.  It's SO simple and really highlights all our gorgeous papers.  Here are the card I made ...

This is a colour combination I never would have put together, but I followed the lead of the colours in the paper itself (Thoughtful Journey paper) and I LOVE the result!  Mossy Meadow and Fresh Freesia.  Who'd'a thought?!?  The sentiments is from the Flower Cart set.  The Home for Christmas Enamel Dots embellishments are long ago retired.  I stocked up as I absolutely loved them!

This one is made with the Lily Pond Lane paper.  The sentiment is from Charming Duck Pond set.

This one uses the same width of strip, but instead of 4 7/8" long it is 3" long.  This allows you to get 4 cards out of one 6" x 6" sheet of paper, rather than just two.  Equally as lovely!

Want to make your own version(s) of this layout? Here is the "recipe" of the pieces you need to prep ...

... and here is the Mystery Card Monday (MCM) Facebook Live replay, showing you how to cut the papers and put all the pieces together ...
